MINUTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
MAY 9, 2007
The Town of Coon Board of Supervisors met at the Coon Town Hall on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at the Coon Town Hall.
Call to order by chairman, Orlan Bakkum
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to approve the typewritten minutes of the previous regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting. All aye. Motion carried.

Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to accept the treasurer`s report. All aye. Motion carried.
Orlan reported that the fire association van would arrive about May 20, 2007.
By August a proposal would be brought on fire station building. It was suggested that an addition to the present station with a 14 foot wide doorway be installed.
The proposal for comprehensive plan (Smart Growth) will be sent to the state.
No new fire numbers had been issued. Leon had been to a meeting on road and fire number signs
Under the proposed Vernon County-Uniform Addressing System all applicants for road and fire number signs would have to fill out a form obtained from the jurisdiction clerk. A G.P.S. reading or distance measurment would be taken.
Orlan reported that a few updates would be made on the zoning map.
A discussion on wind towers was held. No answer had been obtained on what it would cost to have one taken down and also does the area have enough wind to justify wind towers.
A snow plowing agreement for the between the Town of Coon, Hamburg and Greenfield had been signed.
The township was waiting for approval of the plan for the sand and salt structure from the state.
A six month line of credit was obtaine from Fortress Bank. After that a 3 year loan would be obtained at 5.43 percent. Renewal of loan would be in 3 year increments.
Leon and Orlan had attended a Vernon County Towns Association meeting.
Bridge inspection had been done by Vernon County Highway Department.
The next regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting will be held at the Coon Town Hall on June 12, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.
Town of Coon Assessor`s Open Book will be held on May 15, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Town of Coon Board of Review will be held on May 15 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
