MINUTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
OCTOBER 9, 2006
Town of Coon Board of Supervisors met at the Coon Town Hall on October 9, 2006.
Present: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors, Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk; Jan L Ihle, treasurer and Dale Haugrud, patrolman.
Call to order by Chairman, Orlan Bakkum.
Motion to approve the typewritten minutes of previous regular board meeting made by Leon, seconded by Craig. All aye. Motion carried.

Motion made Craig, seconded by Leon to accept the treasurer report. All aye. Motion carried.
Motion made by Craig, seconded by Leon to pay all claims. All aye. Motion carried.
nothing further had been received on Smart Growth project. Town of Coon had submitted their plan.
Orlan to order new fire sign and posts for Art Theige. Clerk to bill for sign when invoice arrives.
Eric Lee property had been surveyed at under 35 acres of land and would require rezoning. Craig to take care of it and arrange a zoning committee meeting.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to appoint Charles Schmidt as an alternate on the Zoning Committee to replace Craig Storm. All aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to appoint James McQuin and Ned Barstad members of the Zoning Committee for a three year term of 2007,2008 and 2009. All aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Orlan, seconded by Leon to appoint Craig Storm a member of the Zoning Committee to replace Walter Griffen. All aye. Motion carried.
Orlan reported that a second voting machine would cost $4,050.00 with a one year warranty.
The present voting machine warranty would last 5 years. The price on the second machine would be good until December 31, 2006.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to purchase the second voting machine at $4050.00. All aye. Motion carried.
The purchasing of a sand and salt structure would be discussed following the budget hearing on November 13, 2006 at a Special Town Meeting.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to raise the amount of rent paid on the rental property to $450 per month. All aye. Motion carried.
The next regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting to be held on November 14 at 1:00 p.m.
Leon to attend a meeting on the Westby By Pass.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to raise the cost of a new fire sign to $60.00 each. All aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to adjourn the meeting. All aye. Motion carried.
