MINUTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
SEPTEMBER 14, 2006
The monthly meeting for the Town of Coon Board of Supervisors was held at the Coon Town Hall on September 14, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.
Present: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor . Supervisors/ Jan L Ihle, treasurer, Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk and Dale Haugrud, patrolman.
Call to order by chairman, Orlan Bakkum.
No public hearing on rezoning of Eric Lee property was held because it had been surveyed at over 35 acres No rezoning necessary..
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to approve the minutes of the previous regular board meeting as typewritten by the clerk, Lorraine Bakkestuen. All aye. Motion carried.

Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to accept the treasurer report. All aye. Motion carried.
Clerk to bill Shane Kendhammer for culvert and bill in the amount of $306.35.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to pay all claims. All aye. Motion carried.
Sand and salt report remains the same as last month.
Smarth Growth project remained the same.
No new fire numbers issued.
Charles Schmitt was appointed to replace Walter Griffen due to his resignation of his position on the Zoning Committee.
Zoning Committee appointments will be made in November to replace those whose terms expire.
Discussion on the purchase of another voting machine was discussed. A second machine would cost the township $4,100.
Discussion was held on the proposed new sand and salt structure The placing of the structure was discussed
It was brought up that a special meeting should be held before the budget hearing on the proposed sand and salt structure.
A discussion was held on the rental property. Orlan had not heard from the township attorney on legal issues involving same.
The next Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting was scheduled for October 9, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at the Coon Town Hall.
The budget preparation meeting was scheduled for October 16, 2006 at 7:30pm. at the Coon Town Hall.
The public hearing on the proposed 2007 budget was set for November 13, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at the Coon Town Hall.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to raise the patrolman`s wages by 3% to $16.89 per hour.
All aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to raise Marc Jacobson`s wages to #$14.71 per hour. All aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to raise part time help wages to $12.50 per hour. All aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to adjourn the meeting. All aye. Motion carried.
