Sand & salt the same as last month.

No fire calls.

Smart Growth: Should be updated by June 1, 2006. Final plan completed by July 1, 2006. Public hearings in August and September.

The comprehensive plan did not contain the changes the Town of Coon requested. A meeting was scheduled for May 23, 2006 at the Coon Town Hall to go over the plan with the Town Board, Smart Growth committee and Zoning Committee. A copy of the plan would be given to each of the committee members to study.

Spring Cleanup: Someone had thought the Township was planning on burning boards, etc and had made a complaint. The Town of Coon would dispose of the material otherwise.

A discussion was held on the holding of large item cleanup days. Large items can be taken to the county landfill anytime during the week and would eliminate the large expenses connected with the cleanup days. The public could be notified of the change in policy gradually over the next 6 months.

The assessor open book willl be held on May 18, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The next regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting will be held at the Coon Town Hall on June 13, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.

A discussion was held on sand and salt storage. A special meeting of the public for public input into plans for sand and salt storage to be scheduled.

The Town of Coon signed a Memorandum of Special Understanding Between the County of Vernon and Town of Coon for the Purchase of Handicapped Accessible Voting Equipment.

Leon wondered what they should do about the rental property. More large expenses are a very deep concern in proportion to the rent that can presently be charged. The board to discuss the possibility of removing the buildings and consider the location for sand and salt storage. The clerk to check the CAP agreement and rental contract held with the present tenants.

Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to adjourn the meeting. All aye. Motion carried.

This is a true and correct statement of the minutes of the Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting held on May 9, 2006 at the Coon Town Hall to the best of my knowledge
