MINUTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
JUNE 14, 2005
The Town of Coon Board of Supervisors met at the Coon Town Hall on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 7:30 p.m.
Present: Orlan Bakkum chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Janice L Ihle, treasurer; Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk and Dale Haugrud, patrolman.
Chairman, Orlan Bakkum opened the meeting.
Minutes of April and May 2005 Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meetings were approved by Leon, seconded by Craig as typewritten by the clerk, Lorraine Bakkestuen. All aye. Motion carried.

Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to accept the treasurer`s report. All aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to pay all claims except AT&T which shall be investigated by Craig. All aye. Motion carried.
One fire reported: Peter Martell-vegetation fire which involved being stuck in the mud and callling River Road Recovery.
Smart Growth: No information on status of project.
Discussion held on Uniform Dwelling Code/inclusion of addition to homes at $50,000 and up.
State inspections of homes had become very expensive. Board will look into alternative inspecting. Orlan would contact another inspector, Vince Schmitz from Cashton.
New fire number: Glen Jacobson E6896 Tri-State Road
Discussion held on County taking over of the fire numbers issued
A rezoning request by Secluded Lan Co for Syl Liebel property was discussed by the zoning committee on June 5, 2005. No recommendation made. A public hearing would be held prior to the Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting to be held on July 12, 2005
This property is in a flood plain and a study would have to be done.
The clerk to pay members of the zoning committee: Larry Strangstalien, Gary Stendalen, Ned Barstad and Walt Griffen.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to approve a loan from River Bank for a new loader. All aye. Motion carried.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to accept Rural Mutal Insurance Company`s lower bid for Town of Coon insurance coverage. All aye. Motion carried. Bid for insurance coverage were opened on June 2, 2005. Mark Anderson Insurance Agency also submitted a bid.
The clerk to send letters to both insurance agencies informing them of the acceptance of Rural Mutal Insurance Company bid.
The clerk also to request that Rebecca Gretebeck Rural Insurance agent to come to the Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting on July 12, 2005 to discuss other insurance issues.
The clerk would also send a copy of the minutes of the June 14, 2005 Board of Supervisors meeting to St. Joseph Equipment
Orlan reported that all resealing of roads in 2005 had been completed.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to close the meeting. All aye. Motion carried.
