MINUTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING

JANUARY 13, 2009


The Town of Coon Board of Supervisors met at the Coon Town Hall on Tuesday; January 13, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Coon Town Hall.


Present: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Janice L Ihle, treasurer; Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk and Dale Haugrud, patrolman.


Chairman Orlan Bakkum opened the meeting.


Motion made by Leon, seconded by Craig to approve the minutes of previous reglar Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting. All aye. Motion carried.


Treasurer`s report: Previous income.................................1,223,097.85

Motion made by Craig, seconded by Leon to accept the treasurer`s report. All aye. Motion carried.


Motion to pay all claims made by Leon, seconded by Craig. All aye . Motion carried.


Fire Association will have somone get back to them with a proposal on adding on to the firehouse.


Smart Growth: Nothing had been received on Town of Coon Comprehensive Plan from the state. Stadleman from the Towns Association will review the plan and contact a state official.

A meeting will be scheduled with the Zoning and Planning Commission and then a public hearing will be scheduled.


Tabby Town will have to talk to Jerry Kins about tax exemption.


Orlan had placed $150,000 insurance coverage on the new loader.


The next regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors will be on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Coon Town Hall.


The Towns Association will hold their District meeting at Fox Hollow on February 28,2009


Bids for sealcoating roads in 2009 will be requested and will need bidders to present warranties and follow the specs asked for by the township.. The township board of supervisors would want to receive the bids early enough to study them before a contract could be accepted. Bids would have to be in by February 6 and studied by February 10. Decision would be made and acceptance would be made at the March 10, 2009 Board of Supervisors meeting.


A resolution to reduce the number of election inspectors for the February 17, 2009 Primary Election from five inspectors to three inspectors. was made.


Motion to adjourn by Leon, seconded by Craig. All aye. Motion carried.


Clerk to send letter of intent to file in small claims court for fire call to Anthony Holen. He had received two notices to pay the claim.

TOWN OF COON BOARD OF AUDIT

JANUARY 14, 2009


The Town of Coon Board of Audit met at the Coon Town Hall on January 13, 2009 following the regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting.


The Board of Audit consisted of Chairman, Orlan Bakkum and supervisors Craig Storm and Leon Minor and found the Town of Coon Financial recors to be all in order.
