MINTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING
OCTOBER 15, 2008
Town of Coon Board of Supervisors met at the Coon Town Hall on Wednesday October 15, 2008 at 7:30 p.m..
Present: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Janice L Ihle, treasurer; Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk and Dale Haugrud, patrolman. Alson present were Bob Muere and Scott Haakenson.
Motion made to approve the minutes of previous regular board of supervisors meeting by Craig, seconded by Leon. All aye. Motion carried.

Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to accept the treasuer`s report. All aye. Motion carried.
Bob Muerer and Scott Haakenson from the Diamond Club brought up a discussion on the Coon Valley Sports Program. The Diamond Club raised $7,800 to help out the Village of Coon Valley. The village would like the Diamond Club to take over the whole program.. They are not able to at the present time. They asked if the Town of Coon could donate to the group. Leon said that this had been brought up at an electorate meeing and had been turned down. Taxpayer money cannot be given away without the approval of the public. It was suggested that a representative of the Diamond Club be present at the November 17, 2008 budget hearing.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to pay all claims. All aye. Motion carried.
Two fire calls had been made.
Tabby Town had a person willing to donate money for property and building for cat rescue. Glovers had been looking at former Porkys in the Village of Coon Valley.
The Fire Association had applied for fund to purchase a new Jaws of Life.
A duplicate Fire sign had been ordered for Sisbach property.
The Rudie property line dispute had been settled.
Flood damage repair cost had been applied for from FEMA. FEMA would pay 75%, state would pay 12 1/2 percent. The remainder would be paid by the township.
The budget preparation meeting will be held on October 20, 2008.
The budget hearing would be held on November 17, 2008 at the Coon Town Hall.
Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to renew the patrolman`s contract All aye . Motion carried.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to raise part time help wages to $15.00 per hour. All aye. Motion carried.
The next regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting will be held at the Coon Town Hall on Tuesday, November 11, 2008
Orlan had completed the Plat Maps.
Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to adjourn the meeting.. All aye. Motion carried.
