MINUTES OF BOARD OF REVIEW

MAY 12, 2008

Town of Coon Board of Review met at the Coon Town Hall on Thursday, May 12, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.

Present: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Jerry Kins, assessor and Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk.

Also present to talk to the assessor wer Rod Ofte and Carl Schmitt.

Jerry Kins said the level of assessment had dropped from 89.59 percent to 71 percent and this affects the use value. Even thought the use value went up the value of the town increased percentage wise went up a lot more than the use value went up.

The township lost 327,600 dollars in use value. Increase in new construction was 915,000 dollars. Last year new contruction was 911,000 dollars. So it was about the same.

No one appeared before the Board of Review to object to their assessment.
