PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING


A Public Hearing on rezoning on 2 acres of land was held on September 11, 2007 at the Coon Town Hall at 7:00 p.m. Present were Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Jan L Ihle treasurer and Lorraine Bakkestuen, clerk and Stacey King. Requests for rezoning of 2 acres of land from agriculture ato residential were made by Gary Stendalen and Raymond King. No objections were received on the requested rezoning of land . Motion made by Craig, seconded by Leon to close the public hearing. All aye. Motion carried.


MINUTES OF TOWN OF COON BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING.

SEPTEMBER 11, 2007


The Town of Coon Board of Supervisors met at the Coon Town Hall on Tuesday September 11, 2007 at the Coon Town Hall. Present were: Orlan Bakkum, chairman; Craig Storm and Leon Minor, supervisors; Jan L Ihle, treasurer; Dale Haugrud, patrolman and David Stowe.


Call to order made by Orlan Bakkum, chairman.


Motion made by Leon, seconded by Craig to approve the minutes as typewritten by the Clerk. All aye. Motion carried.

Motion made by Craig, seconded by Leon to accept the treasurer`s report. All aye. Motion carried.


Lynn Luckason from Rural Insurance was present at the meeting and went over the amounts of insurance coverage. He informed th board that the rental house went up with inflation. Eighty percent loss would equal replacement. If payment of extra $50.00 there would be no deductible on glass breakage. Raised insurance on 1993 IHC truck to $14,000. Also included second voting machine.


Nothing more had been done on Smart Growth.


Two fire numbers needed for Gary Stendalen property and Stacey King property.


Motion made by Leon Minor, seconded by Craig Storm to rezone properties from Agriculture to Residential. All aye. Motion carried.


Craig had looked a t a number of ordinances on wind towers.


Driveway ordinance: Craig was working on it. He hadn`t made out application forms.


Nothing more had been done on Rudie property line dispute.


A public hearing would have to be held on the number of animal units allowed.


Orlan reported that road ratings had been done and are ready to send to the state.


Sand and salt shed: Blacktop on inside of building and electrical work had been done


The next regular Town of Coon Board of Supervisors meeting will be held at the Coon Town Hall on Monday, October 8, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.


Orlan had contacted FEMA on the flood damage in the Town of Coon. Pictures had been taken. Seventy five percent covered by FEMA, twelve and one half percent by state and twelve and one half percent by township.


Cleanup days set for October 12 and October 13.


David Stowe was disturbed about the collection of recyclalbes at the collection site. In paticular-phone books.


Scenic Energy wanted to place an automatic reader on fuel tanks. Board felt when the tank reached a 50% level to have Scenic Energy fill it.


Moved by Leon, seconded by Craig to sign the Memo of Understanding between the Town of Coon and Vernon County on Statewide Voter Registration. All aye. Motion carried.


Clerk to attend seminar to be held by the State Elections Board on October 4, 2007


Chief Election Inspectors and Assistance Election inspectors to attend a seminar on the same date.


Moved by Craig, seconded by Leon to adjourn the meeting. All aye. Motion carried.
